Autumn {ENTRY}

Front door all ”dressed-up” for Autumn.

I tend to use elements that can be used throughout the season, instead of focusing on Halloween. Not because I don’t love the spooky holiday. I just don’t have the time, energy or extra money to spend on re-decorating the porch every few weeks. However, I finally gave in and bought this rug a couple days ago at Target after walking past it on numerous shopping trips, debating whether or not my entryway “needed” it.

The wreath was made by my mom several years ago.

Its simply an oval grapevine wreath and one branch/pick of leaves & acorns attached with wire.

During the spring & summer months, the tall black pot is home to a kong coleus and a trailing coleus. But when Autumn approaches, the plants are removed and in their place… straw, a pumpkin, and my creepy black crow welcome guests to our home.

The front porch sitting area.

The perfect place to sit and indulge in pumpkin spice lattes on crisp Autumn mornings. Or enjoy a glass of Harvest Blush from Cedar Ridge Winery in the evening while chatting with neighbors.

I absolutely love gourds… the various colors, the different shapes & sizes, and the interesting textures…. so fun to decorate with!

Natural elements from local pumpkin patches (including a cinderella pumpkin, a mum, gourds, and a straw bale) along with an apple basket make up this display.

I adore this Cinderella pumpkin!!

  1. The fall decor looks great. My favorite part of this picture is your message on your front door. Love it!
